Dear Yogis,


In case you hadn't realised, and it would be easy to miss it, but spring is apparently here! I hope that the longer days and slightly warmer weather are starting to fill up your energy reserves ready for the summer.


Classes restart on Monday 17 April and you can book all the way through to July, your memberships will be valid for the entire term, so you don't need to be worried about it running out. Evening classes are pretty fully booked in the next few weeks so I am looking to add some extra times, keep an eye out for these. Just a reminder as well for cancellations, if you can provide 24 hours notice and cancel you will get your class back, if not I won't have the time to rebook someone, so I'm afraid you will lose that class.


New Classes


Wednesday 6pm - Beginners Running and Stretching (BRAS!) we will meet at the studio and set off from there with a walking warm-up and then gradually build up the length of time we are running for and the distance we cover. Don't worry if you have never run before, this is a social group and there is no pressure. You can't be too slow and nobody will be left to run alone. We will return to the studio for run specific stretches to help combat DOMS and prevent injuries. Please sign up for the plan and add yourself to the sessions so that i have an idea of numbers - it is £10 for a year to cover admin and insurance costs.



Friday at 12pm - Chatty Chair Yoga. This is ideal for anyone who struggles to get up and down off the floor but still wants to retain their mobility and strength whilst meeting like-minded people. It will be downstairs so there will be no stairs to climb and all props are provided. £7 per class or through the memberships.




Events


22-23 April - Overnight Retreat. Hopefully we will have some better weather for this and I will report back with photos etc from the trip. If this proves successful I will look to run more of these during the year.


3-7 May & 14-18 June - no classes as I will be training for the Yoga Therapy Diploma.


21 May - Family Yoga and Mindfulness.(5 - 11 years old). Paired yoga for adult and child, to help with focus, concentration, flexibility and strength.


28 May - Sublime Sunday. Restorative yoga and meditation to relax your body and mind. This month's offering will focus on detoxing.
